PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
The need to expand agriculture and industrial growth, as well as maximize the country’s resources is crucial, but more than 60 percent of the idle lands that can be developed and utilized for development are owned by Indigenous Peoples (IPs) as their ancestral domains or ancestral claims. This is a huge hindrance to the country’s industrial growth and potential, a fact which makes the establishment of a magnanimous corporation capable of both unequaled development and respect towards the tribal communities critical in today’s time. This is also a challenge for the capital sector, as foreign and local investors are unsure whether their investment would be safe. This backfires upon the very beneficiaries that industrial development projects aim to benefit. We need an active bridge that would serve as a foundation of development and security, built by the very beneficiaries who thoroughly understand their own lands and peoples. We need socially responsible experts and professionals, both keeping in their minds and hearts the impact of industrial projects on the economy, community, and nation as a whole, just as much as they keep in mind the people’s culture, environment, traditions, livelihood, and future. Most of all, we need to survive and fight poverty. Thus, we, a humble group of farmers, agriculturists, indigenous peoples, engineers, researchers, and retired expert farm technicians hereby offer the Aguila Humanitarian Foundation Inc. as the answer to help the nation and guide its people from crippling poverty - the change we all need. Thank you kindly for accepting our humble profile, we offer you our warmest welcome. We, the Aguila Humanitarian Foundation Inc., impart unto you the very purpose of our existence as a grand venture in a few simple words from the heart…… “ …we Build to survive and Fight Poverty…”
